Passaround Suggestions?!?

I would have to second the new edc version. I used the red one and wood handled one a while ago, and I still think about how they felt in the hand.

Also you could try one that made you famous (to me at least). A monster Nessie, or a standard nessie would both be great. I think that is one of your Quintisential desings. I don't think I have ever seen another nessie large or small that are quite like yours.

Taking off from a previous suggestion.

What if you take one of your existing stables - say a bushmaster - and ask those that own them to add their brutally honest improvement suggestions - do a couple up with a few of the most popular suggestions - and then pass them around along with the original.

If people thing they are improved - add that to the next version.

I do that already...look at the 1st Gen bushcraft knife compared to the latest one. Same general idea, totally different detailing. Also, the EDC was passed around and many prototypes made and much feedback requested & received.

It's a great idea - just has to be timed right and I have to keep the "big picture" in mind. IOW, I can only make improvements that I can actually tool in myself here in my shop. And I would need to make sure the improvements meet a majority opinion. Some very satisfied customers never say anything about their knives. So, would the changes represent an improvement that all would want? Or would it satisfy a small minority of very particular customers? In the case of the latter, a small specialized run would be better (and I do plan on doing more of these....already have a few 'in the works').

Like I've said on many ocassions....suggestions are welcome here AND are actually listened to!

You know -- and 'Kudda with a little curve to it would make a great carver/boner/filletter/kitchen utility knife. S90V is a very tough & abrasian-resistant stainless steel...

I'm just saying.

;)

Also, a 4", 4.5", or 5" version of your EDC knife (mod. clip with hollow-grind), with maybe just a touch more belly, would be a great all-around hunting belt knife if you ask me (though, the Bushmater looks pretty good as a "do-all knife" too)... 3/16" CPM 3V, CPM M4, or better yet S90V, would be my choice.

Dan...

How about the knife you made for the "Camp Knife Challenge"..I don't know who wouldn't want to hold this one...
