Passaround - Yes or No?

Wow. That handle is beefy! I think I'm going to like it a lot.

The Tulipwood looks great too.

ALso, nice pics Doug!!

Okay, I finished my review and the knife will ship out tomorrow to the next lucky participant. I have the new/most recent passaround order so it will next land in CT. k estela get ready for some fun! You seem to have a lot of great posts, so I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this knife!

Cheers to one and all. Special thanks to Stomper for the chance to check out his knife!

Sincerely,

Doug

Hi All,

Just letting everyone know that the Delivery Confirmation shows that the knife was delivered to K_estela on 2/11 before 11am.

Thanks,

Doug

Thanks for letting us know where it is. I PM`d Kevin yesterday about it, but never heard back. There really does not seem to be much enthusiasm about this passaround.

I received this message from Kevin:

"I'll take it with me on the WLC winter course at the end of the week. Much appreciated!"

I suspect he is just away from an internet connection. He seemed pretty excited to me.

Sincerely,

Doug

He was going to take it on his trip, so we won`t see anything for at least a week. Hopefully after he is done it will start moving along.

I'm excited, although a bit worried. Everytime I use my Kephart from you (often), I want another of your knives. I will go broke soon at that rate!

I thought that this passaround would get to me sooner than it will, I'm really busy for the next couple of months and may not have the time to provide a good review in a timely manner. I just really don't want to do a half-a$$ed job or delay the progress and I can't guarantee that I won't, so I think the only good option for me is to opt out. The bushcrafter being phased out is another reason, I don't want to fall in love with the knife and be unable to get another. Anyway I've got my own JK on the way, so I can always just play with that one. Thanks for the opportunity John, but I just don't think it will work out.

Please give us a review on yours when you get it.

I think a lot more will drop out. I have not seen some of the guys on the list on the forums for a long time.

I really can`t believe that no more reviews have been posted  It should be going to PB Wilson any day now. PB, please post a review when you get it!

My guess is that they don`t like it, and are being nice and not saying it.

Based on the pictures that ChapmanPreferred posted, I find that hard to believe.

Yeah, what's not to like? It's gorgeous, a time-tested blade shape, has what appear to be comfortable handles and unless the pics are staged (which I don't believe), it seems to perform well in bushcrafty chores.
