Attention Passing of Chuck Bybee

Condolences to the family. I didn't know Chuck personally, but I've certainly patronized AKS a time or ten, and use their online blade steel resources constantly. There's not a single supplier in our industry who couldn't take at least a couple of notes from AKS, in my opinion. Chuck certainly leaves a legacy behind, and he'll be missed.

I just saw this about my friend Chuck. Chuck worked for me when I was an engineering manager at Boeing. He did outstanding work and we became friends. His contribution on a very complex project was key to its success. I brought up once that I was into knives and he brought to work an outstanding collection. Incredibly, incredibly sharp. I barely grazed a blade and cut me open. Holy cow. He eventually told me he was leaving Boeing to make knives using titanium and other metals in his garage. I was disappointed to lose not only a great engineer but an outstanding person. We shared our faith in god and beliefs. Thank you Chuck…and Chucks family for your contribution to my life.
