On 19 March 2001, the knifemaking world lost a great maker, after a 2 year battle with Leukemia. Donald Lange was a bladesmith who did work of the highest caliber. I have a few of his knives, and cannot find what could be called a flaw in any of them. Don was also very friendly, and would spend a lot of time talking and telling funny stories to anyone who would listen. I know he is off to a better place, but I will still miss him.

I'm not familiar with the gentleman or his work, but the loss of a Mastersmith & obviously one whose work & personality have made an enduring impression is something that should be recognized- My condolences to his friends & family.
Regards-
Mike
