Well, I must admit we have done some great Forum knives in the past!!:) This is the first one that I have used and played with extensively!!:p Usually they wind up as collectible Safe Queens, and just as often go live with someone else, but this guy is a true keeper , and user!! The Buck stops here!!:D

Of course I have made it my own, by "blackening" the stag with potassium permanganate! The knife is well made and has a "modern steel" for the blades!
I just finished breaking down and flattening a pile of cardboard boxes with it that filled my Ford Escape for a trip to the recycling depot!!
Cleaning out the attic don'tcha know!! The knife is still sharp!!
We chose the right knife!!;)
If you use a BF knife, any year, please show us, and tell us about it!!

(I once again apologize for the scratches on my scanner glass, which are NOT on the sheepfoot!):(

The only Blade Forums knife I've kept is the Buck from 2018 and I've not used it yet except to slice some Spam once.

I've given all the others (2009 - 2019) away as I suspect I'll do with the 2020 headed our way.

I hope Spam slicing qualifies me for this thread waynorth waynorth Charlie.:)

Like the potash blackening  Might give mine a dip too.

The BuckFforum Knife 18 also sees the most use with me as it's a stay sharp no bother where you are knife, being all stainless, I like the blade arrangement too.

The 08 Small Stockman from Northwoods saw a lot of initial use, then it went MIA down a sofa for a couple of years..... and it's sadly been badly overrun by brass bleed from the liners into the Stag so it see little use now.

09 I missed out on due to a misunderstanding with the then mod in charge.:(

10 Was a nice nickel lined Queen in Ebony but I gave it to Jolipapa.

11 Saw a great deal of use at first but I then retired it, not mint of course but in really nice carefully used state, a great pattern that ushered in the 85 series:cool:

12 I didn't go for, as same end big Jack knives not my thing.

13 Was a really unusual pattern and it took a long gestation period, again it's 2 blades same end construction so no I don't get to use it at all. Fine example mind.

14 A real beaut that sees a lot of outdoor time, really good Stag on mine and again it advanced the 78 pattern, very cool indeed. I got left out in the garden in the country place for a week....but soon cleaned up nicely, a tough type:thumbsup:

15 I like but somehow don't use it much as it's wood, can't explain that one :D

16 I won in a wonderful GAW. Like its Churchill stablemate, a beautiful EE pattern and fat Spear:thumbsup: Too bad its latest relative from GEC is going to be that puerile thing with a comb

17 Like it as it's minimalist in away being Micarta&brushed but I don't use it as I have a TC 15 Spear on the job already :)

18 Mentioned the Buck already:cool:

19 Didn't fancy it as I'm not fond of Sabre grinds so I passed on that one. excellently made knife and many use theirs.

20 Ordered  I suspect I will be keen on this groundbreaker.

The Forum Knife, even though I don't have all of them, offers something for everyone, hurrah!

Loving the pictures of the 2014! It was one I sought feverishly even missing one by minutes (earning my first warning for throwing a fit in the sales post :D:p). I did eventually score some users and one mint one. The user passed to @BigBiscuit so I no longer have pictures of it. I do wonder if it was inspired by the picture of a stag jack thats in the gec book of old. It is by far my favorite forum knife and club knife of all times. Although I was a member since 2010, I was still in college and didnt have as much free time, but by 2014 I had more leisure time for forums and knives much to the detriment of my wallet

I am guilty of not enjoying these forum knives to their fullest, as all my examples are unused. The only exception is this Buck, which I did unnatural things to (LOL). Truth be told, it's going "under the knife" again as we speak. This is what it looked like before...

Before my stroke last year, I carried and used my 2018 BF Buck some. Nothing earth shattering or "hard use", just opened a couple of those daRn hang packs and a few cans of Skoal (I could afford the good stuff back then), and whittled a point on a couple sticks with "lead" (its actually graphite mixed with mud) running down the center.
Since the stroke it's been in my cigar box, currently at the Assisted Living facility owner's place until after the state finally gets around to inspecting this facility. (I wish they'd hurry up and get here ...)

The 2018 Buck is the only Forum Knife I ever had.

EDIT
I think I used it to open a bag or three of chicken nuggets, Tortino's pizza rolls, Orida and generic tater tots, salmon, Italian Sausages, Bratwurst, Corned Beef, and Pork Loin, too.
Might have used it on raw cauliflower, broccoli, Love Apples, red radishes, bell peppers, red onion, red and green cabbage, and grocery store mushrooms, too.
(I don't know enough to hunt and collect wild mushrooms.)
Oh, and to slice various hard, and a couple goat/soft cheeses.

let’s see that 08 stockman. That bleed wouldn’t bother me a bit. Give me more reason to use it!

This is the first I've seen the knife (I haven't followed BF closely enough). What a NICE knife! Where was it made?

2019 was my first forum knife. What a beautiful knife - created out of numerous “vote” threads. I really enjoyed the process and was floored at how nice it turned out. Mine gets carried and used, but no patina as of this date.

2020 was a different process, but looking forward to it nonetheless.

This is my first BladeForums knife . Never really cared for the Micarta but I really wanted it because it was my first TC Barlow . Great little knife but I have kept it as a Safe Queen even though I am a Fan of the Sheepfoot blade . I am a little bit sorry that I do not use it some because it could be a great user .

The 2019 BladeForums knife is a Great One . I do carry it some and it is a great carry . Really like the blade . I bought 2 of them but 2 of my close family indicated that they wanted one so I let them have them . Then my good friend @Half/Stop Ron gifted me one .and this is it . I think that I have very few knives that will measure up to this one as a User . Very well made with a great blade .

I have no recent photos of it after using it because I usually carry 2 every day .
