Pat Crawford Custom French Frame Lock Folder - This is a custom made knife by Pat Crawford called "Frame Lock French Folder" The knife was made in the early 90's. It the first custom knife I ever purchased. The blade is 4 1/2 inches long, highly polished ATS-34 stainless steel blade and frame. The scales are red jigged bone. The spine is file worked. Knife has nickel silver thumb studs with checkering, designed for ambidextrous use. The overall length of the knife is 10 inches. The one piece 440C handle features the Frame Lock locking system with polished stag handle scales and red liner. An interesting story about this knife is that somewhere around 2003-4, the spine broke at the lock. I figured what might be a possible solution and sent a drawing to Pat to see what he thought. He thought the suggestion would work and I sent him the knife. The result can be seen in the photos. Pat did an unbelievably masterful job, exceeding my expectations. Interestingly enough, I believe the repair actually made a much stronger lock and from my perspective, and I like how it looks. There are a couple micro fine scratches on the blade that aren't easy to see, but might be seen in the photos. These can easily be buffed out. This knife has great lines, feels good in the hand and needless to say, this is a one of a kind. Price $450 with free shipping in the US
