Pat Fogarty (pff) passed away at 3:25 today, 5/28/13

Damn the luck. There are times like this that I feel the world has been cheated. Pat wouldn't want me to feel this way, but I still feel that we've been ripped off.

I don't know how long I've known Pat. I never met him in person, but I'm blessed to have interacted with him over these years. He turned me on to a level of Sci Fi that I thought I'd never nerd myself up to.

Y'all take care.

I am so sorry to hear of Pats passing, been way too long since i checked in and talked to him, he always made me laugh with his cutting and funny wittisms, he was a good man and i wish him a good journey, 45 on his hip and his favorite knife as well go in peace my friend.. u touched many lives

I barely knew him but I could tell right away he was a great guy. Always helpful in chat and just seemed like a great guy. I wish I was stayed in chat more often to talk with him a little more before he passed. My prayers are with your family. Rest in peace my friend :)

I believe I only met Pat once but enjoyed many conversations with him. His love of knives and knife people were genuine. I hope a safe full of Randall Knives and 38 special revolvers await him in the afterlife.

This is such sad news!

Like Susie, it's been way too long since I checked in and talked to Pat. For a very long time I'd chat with Pat every night. I'd even picked him up on the way to Trackrock a couple of times.

For the last few years, I'd check in with Pat about once a year via chat. I did actually visit with Pat about a year and a half ago, when my husband and I vacationed in Asheville, NC. We met at his beloved Thai restaurant. For as long as I've known Pat, he'd eat at the restaurant every day they were open, and would have them package up a portion for take out, which he'd then eat for dinner. The proprietors treated him like family! I will always treasure that last visit, and wish I'd checked in more often. I hope he's eating his fill of Thai in Heaven. ;-)

It took a lot to fill Pat up, when he was in his prime.

I remember Sonny's Bar-B-Q a short walk from the Waverly. They had this deal where they would keep giving you ribs until you had your fill. Pat I think held the record at 9

I'm pretty sure that the Atlanta Sonny's is gone, I have to wonder if Pat had anything to do with their closing. ;)

It's good to see some old faces on this thread, it's just sad the reason.

R.I.P. Pat/pff. :( Prayers for your daughter & your other loved ones.

Pat was also a huge fan of S&W. He would have loved the model 18, I found over the summer that still had it's original box, wrapper & cleaning kit: he would have however, thought I was CRAZY for shooting it !!! LOL, sweet SA/DA trigger that is all I can say. :D Things are made to be USED, not looked at IMHO.

Sorry, I haven't been around at all. Just a hand full of folks would even remember me from many years back. Chat helped my sanity when I was became a father. Learned lots of info about custom knives! I still cherish my lefty Carson M4 in 6K. :)
