Hey there everybody! Today I have one of my interpretations of a patch knife ready to go. Hope you like it!

Steel is 3/32 thick x 1 1/4” tall in A2 Tool Steel. HT at 60/61. Hand sanded to 600 grit for a satin finish. The edge was under .010” before sharpening and it balances on the second spacer.

Dimensions: 10” OAL, Tip to guard is 4” and cutting edge is 3 1/2”.

I would be happy to trim off the extended elk tine tip by about 2” if anyone wants it done. I was thinking about doing it but thought maybe some would appreciate the whole length so I left it alone.

Brass bolster, leather and elk make up the handle, accented with red G10 spacers and a brass pin.

It’s about tine ( pun intended ) you made a knife like that!! :) There is just someing so cool to have a small knife to quickly cut and put back, very handy.

Thanks a bunch J jfk1110 and cbach8tw cbach8tw , I use a lot of elk so I have tines galore and have to use them up somehow. I've seen a number of these out there on the larger web. Made a few a couple of years back and they went pretty fast.
