Patina and etch

Has anyone tried CLR(calcium,lime,and rust)?
available anywhere, I cleand some old tools and had some interesting effects.
I am soaking a heavy Ka-bar that I removed the blade coating from just to see what happens.

post some picks, please. I read some one using oxi-clean for some efect also might want to mess with that too.
