4 hours later....... Its about as good as I want to get it at this point. It still and old knife and looks the part, but so do I. I am happy with he way this came out. Summary for those interested. 240 horizontal, 320 vertical, 600 random pattern, 1000 horizontal mostly, 1200 Random, 2000 all directions, then Black compound on a dremel polishing wheel, the Flix with the dremel and a hand polish. Its shinier than the pic lets on.

You have a valuable knife. Don't use Naval Jelly on it-it etches the steel.

I found this out the hard way on an old Gerber.
