Blade steel is Czechoslovakian 14260 Spring Steel. (a high carbon steel)
As you can see, the finish is "as forged".

Question:
Am I correct in that a patina will have difficulty forming and/or being seen, other than on the edge?
Is an "As Forged" finish as red rust resistant as a patina?
