Photos Patina thread

Got this carbon Swell Center Jack in just before Christmas and have been working up a good fruit (apples, limes, oranges, tomato, and even one potato) patina for a few weeks, so I went ahead and forced my customary dot pattern patina on the secondary.

I just did a quick hot apple cider vinegar soak. This is the first time I've tried it, I like it alright so far.

Buffing with 0000 steel wool after a hot vinegar treatment results in a very nice finish.

It’s pretty close. The bunny is slightly bigger.

Hot apple cider vinegar dip; not sure where the tiny bubbles came from, but kind of cool looking. Also, on the clip blade you can easily see the round edges of the application of the etching??

I decided to give the pen blade an American mustard bath(although you folks probably call it mustard).
As it was just spotty from cutting food wirh main blade & having dirty hands. So I cut out the middleman.

Very very slow growing a natural patina on this here mini trapper
Ain't summer so I wanna see how much of a natural patina I can form before summer dictates HAVING to to force one

i believe i need to get a couple bag of lemons ... apples take too long.
Oh well ... I'm drinking mostly unsweetened lemonade (3 caps lemon juice to 30 oz. water) so itted make since to add some lemon slices ... or lemon rind to the "lemonade".
