Pattern Weld Camp Axe

I started this by forging a 1 inch square of damascus and then shaping the axe . It is about 100 layers (I've either forgotten or lost count) of 15N20 and 1095 steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 only on the edge, the body is softer
Curly maple haft
Haft length: 13 3/4 inches
Head length: 6 1/2 inches
Cutting edge: 3 inches
Weight: 18 ounces
It will have a simple leather edge guard when I get around to doing that.
