This is from a 135 layer billet that I forged from 15N20 and 1084 high carbon steels. This is carefully heat treated using 5 cycles in my digitally controlled furnace with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade. Proper heat treating is essential on a blade this thin. The blade is flexible but not wimpy. I have included a leather scabbard because the knife has been posted on sites where someone would take it fishing, however I know that chefs will use a knife like this for boning and slicing so I included it here. Overall length is 11 inches with a 6 inch blade. The handle is stabilized mango wood. I am often asked why i put a harpoon style clip on my filet knives and I would say that it adds mass to the tip, improves balance, assists puncturing with the point but in reality, I think it looks cool:)

SOLD delivered within the US. I will ship to other countries and add exact postage fees to the cost. email me with your overseas address and I will get a cost. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
