This is not your heavy duty camp knife for chopping limbs and batoning kindling but a slicer for small game ( I would use it to field dress a whitetail too).
I made this from a 135 layer billet that I forged with 15N20 and 1084 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain for strength
Flat grind
Bacote handle
Overall length: 8 1/2 inches
Blade: 4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

SOLD delivered within the US. I will ship outside the US and will apply exact postage costs. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com

Cranking some beauties lately, the chefs knife you listed a couple of days ago is over the top

I was lucky enough to be at Gerry’s shop when he forged the steel. Learned a ton and really can only say WOW on the finished product.

That is a very attractive, useful knife. It is also quite a deal.
I feel very lucky to be exposed to wonderful work like this, what a treat.
