I forged this with 95 layers of 1095 and 15N20 steel, heat treated with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to Rc 58-60. The edge geometry and hardness is the same as I would put on a large chopper so it must be sharpened with a stone, a file will just skate.
The sycamore handle is 13 1/2 inches
The head is 6 1/2 inches with a 3 inch cutting edge
