Patterns/Knives that you have always wanted to try but haven't?

How could I forget - Congress Jack, of course! :) (Maybe with sheepsfoot/pen combo, ivory micarta, and 1095 ;) )

I would LOVE too get my hands on a peanut in cv! Especialy a yella one, but lack of sufficient funds will prohibit such untill the unforseen future, maybe i will just wait till i wear out my current edc like a normal person would... but thats just not how we knifenuts function now is it. :)

i guess a doctors knife, a japanese higonokami, okapi and any of several italian, spanish and french friction folders.

edit to add: maybe an ankermesser from germany, a buck 110 type and maybe a mora or svord fixed blade.

oh all of these aswell, except the doctors knife and 110 (already have one and have used it, would be much better if it was thinner, carbon steel, with a full convex grind :P, in which case it woulda been a perfect large knife :P)

I have always wanted to try a Toothpick, but don't really know what I'd use it for.

Wait, that didn't sound right. lol

Here are some others I'd like to try:

Bullet End Jack
EO Jack
Muskrat, especially GEC's Furtaker
Moose

I'm certain there are others I have neglected to mention.

oh, keep thinking of other ones :P, Barlow and also anything with a "razor" blade as in the ones meant to be opened by snaging on belt or edge of pocket. would be interesting to try, kinda like the classic "wave" opening system, and also would allow quick easy access for times when it would be preferable.

I think I'd like to try a Bose Zulu pattern. I think that's the next one I'm going to make. :D.

Stiletto
Cheetah
Full congress.
Navaja
Muskrat
Gunstock
Lady leg

So many patterns. So few pockets.

The top of my list would be a Case Cheetah/swing guard knife.

Me, too!

I've handled about most all knives, at some point, or another, but I'm still waiting to see a swing-guard knife.

Not quite sure how the ergonomics would work out, so, I'm pretty curious.

I also have to admit, the Lady's Leg knife has a certain appeal, as well. Sort of a clash between Cheesy and Classy.

Well...

- Gunstock
- Whaler/Sunfish (these bulky knives have a very special appeal)
- Oopkapi
- Puukko / Leukko
- Coke Bottle (though GEC #06 is on the short list)
- Cattle knife (to me this are equal end stockmen)

... and many many more... :D

I don't think there are any left. At least none that I can think of.

Mack got me to try a mini copperhead and we all know where that went.
Carl got me to try a peanut and I have 5 now.
Flymon (Stu) got me to try a Texas jack and it is one of my best loved Case patterns.
The famous Barlow threads got me to try a barlow, now I have several of those.
I think it was Elliott (Blues) that showed one of his custom Eureka jacks and now I have 2 in hand and one more on the way.
Andi put me on the hunt for a GEC 66 jack and I now have a beautiful stag handled example.
Jason Baker somehow picked my post out of a long list of entrants and sent me a Case wharncliffe mini trapper. Now a favorite pattern.

Do you guys see a pattern here? I probably should not ever open this thread again for fear of finding something else to try.

And then there is this:

black mamba's--- Avatar knife.
black mamba I wish you would take your Avatar down it's killing me. LOL

All the more because you have to buy the knife from S&M and then modify the secondary. That Jeff is a serious threat to our sanity and our wallet.

I've been really temped by single spring pen knives lately, been looking at the case pen and mini copperhead (wharncliff). I also don't have any congress pattern knives and would like to try out a half congress at some point.

Ed, it's the best money I ever spent on a knife, and still far less than a full custom.
I've been contemplating sending Don another smaller knife to have the same treatment done. ;)
