I've had a lotta knives, and seen that-many-more, over several decades; back in the day,
5 Brend's in the desk drawer at a given time, a Blade Mag cover piece, along with much other edged virtue...annual Guild Shows, etc. That said, even among the loftiness of fine work, exotic materials, etc. & etc....there are just those pieces where everything came together.....right, and rightly.
This is one of those; I saw it online, and knew that I needed it, period. Then....quite unexpectedly, at the end of the day at our regional cutlery collectors assn. show, I....
saw it. I immediately knew it was....it. Traded a meaningful piece, plus some cash, for it.
Do not wish to let it go. The hands are being pulled-back, as I type, by that force....that
enables one to identify, from the ethereal place, one of those pieces. Yet, one is called to tribulation in this world...so, I'll just say, prior to listing info. from the maker, that:
Holding it out, at arm's length, with the desk lamp off to the left-front...and, rotating it, slowly,
I savor the highlighting of each grind realm...the hollow hallowed business area; the flat, the
suweet upper feathered plunge/equally-feathered exit, which could have not been included at
all....the top, revealing the profile effected by that grind...and, a slight angulation, revealing the business point. Then, back through the sequence....
well; I just had-urge to pick her up, and run through said sequence,
again....and, yet, must fight it .......
