Hay guys, I just got my knives back from paul. This guy is great, I sent the blades out 1.5 weeks ago and got them back already:) very cool, and a very nice guy to boot. One thing I would advise to any one getting treatment done from him, dont bother with the 80% finish work on the blades, just get them about 98% done then send them out. The finish on the blades when they came back were almost as I sent them only a little yellow discolor.

I have a question though for those of you who have had work done by him, do I need to temper the blades? He did not say whether or not it was done already. I know that he cryoed them for me but I'm not sure what else to do with them.

from my understanding everything is done to give you the RC of your choice. True about the finishing. I had my blades 99% finished, and only had to sand with 1500 after I whacked the discoloration off with a wheel and black emery. Quick turnaround time too.
 
He does everything for you and if you look everyone has even been hardness tested to check that it is right.
 
Yep your blades are completely heat treated. Each blade has a diamond dimple or two on the left side in the handle area. That is proof that he rockwell tested each blade to ensure they are the correct hardness. All you need to do is finish sanding and put the handles on.
 
Ya I thought every thing was done, I saw the dimples in the handles for the RC test:) very cool.

I just sharpened one up and DAMN!!! I think I will like S7 for knives. Fairly easy to sharpen and wow damn it now I have no hair on my arm:)
