• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Got this off ebay for 15 bucks. The head needed a new wedge. It's about the size of a Vaughn or Bark River Mini but with a slightly thinner handle and thicker head.

Here it is by a GB Wildlife for comparison:

I re wedged the handle, sanded it down slightly and convexed the edge. It looked like it had been used. Some chips in the edge and also the poll had been used to hammer. On the handle it said "Paul Bunyon" and "Hartwell Hickory" On the head it says Hartwell.

It chops ok for a really light hatchet.

I have a few of the "child's hatchets"
The EBAY ad for my Craftsman said "was used by housewives to cut up chickens in the 40's"

I was thinking of making a neck sheath ;)

That's real sweet Rock. Looks to be a similar size to mine. I think I like the head on yours a bit better. The bit looks a touch longer.
