I have purchased a Paul Chen Hanwai Bamboo Katana and for the money I am very pleased with the sword and quality of my purchase. I was overbilled $380.00 during the purchase and have been dealing with them for about 8 months on the return of my $380.00. I have been contacted by them on three different occasions and was told that they were putting my refund check in the mail that same day. I was even told that they had mailed one and the check showed as never cashed, so they would mail another. In short they (Paul Chen Hanwai Swords) have kept my $380.00 for about eight months with no end in sight. I would not recommend doing business with them. My opinion.
 
Eight months is probably long since too late to get the credit card involved. I am not clear did you purchase it directly from the manufacturer somehow? Was it a particular retailer that was a problem?

If you paid by credit card, you can get the credit card company involved. I have only done that once, but it got fast results.

^This. OP - did you pay by CC? If so, why not take the easy route of having your CC company take care of it?:(
 
If you have proof by email or something like that of what you were supposed to pay get the Police involved.

True enough, I know where that address is. And it is a self storage facility. I guess he could keep inventory there or maybe he’s the owner? Dunno how else you’d get mail there.....
 
What is that address for? Just the physical location? Or is that supposed to be a mailing address? I could see maybe a storage facility serving RVers offering to hold mail per unit. But kind of sketchy to be listing that at all for public reference. Most storage facilities will not allow car repair or other mechanical work to be done in the storage unit (insurance I would imagine). Living in one is out. Storefront is out.

Why would a person use a storage address instead of a real address? Unless they don’t want to be found, maybe live in another town or county?
