Does anyone know how the lock mechanism on this knife works? http://www.knifeoutlet.com/shop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=PC2026

It says button lock. Does that mean that the button has to be depressed for it to open? So then I take it can't be open one-handed or flicked open? Or can one depress the button, then flick the knife open and let go of the button to lock it in place as one can do with an axis-lock knfie?

The right side of the pivot is the button. Press it and you'll feel a click and then you can snap the blade ... well, partway out. :)
It is not real loose but with oiling and working it, you could probably get it to flip open like that.

VERY classy folder, locking open and closed, nice weight but not oppressively so, beautifully decorated with wire inlay designs, an exceptional bail that cannot be moved all the way down where it would interfere with the blade opening. The blade is stout and quite sharp.

This is a traditional design in a modern format, which works for me as an elegant, if somewhat outsized, gentleman's knife.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking of getting one for my girlfriend's dad. I don't think he carries one everyday, but it looked like it might be good for display and possible work around the house.
