Simple as that.

However, Joseph, you prove that you are 1/2 retarded by having a master make sheaths that he TOTALLY did not want to do, acting solely on his great affection for you, and spending the same on the sheaths as you did the knives....

AND

Because, while you claim to be some student of history, you have not investigated any antique khukuris that show how much better the kamis of old did it, and would have been at least worthy of this fine work by the inestimable Mr. Long.

Carry on with your foolish self.....you are a dork:)

Thanks Buddy :)

I got these to use um.

antiques are great but do not in some cases make the best users.

A knife is useless with out a proper sheath

ouch, that's some tough love!:p:D

The sheaths that came with the Khukuris are completely useable...just not for your purposes.

Just when I think that Joey can not possibly find a knife UGLIER than the last one he sent................He proves me wrong. I thought for sure that either Shiva or Hartsfield , one or the other, or both had the first place ticket for ugly but here is living proof I was wrong. I consider covering those things with leather and keeping them from view was my civic duty.:D

I am definitely not soliciting Kukri sheath orders. In fact in that area, I'm retired.

Paulie, for the record I LIKE khukuris, and Himalyan Imports makes 'em all tough and well built, and I'm to blame for Joseph getting his first....but I still think it's bunk to have you make scabbards for 'em, especially when you are supposed to be working on MY project, lol;)

When Joey asks you for the chaps and codpiece he keeps threatening to have made, I only hope you have the spine to say no to the poor misguided lad.

The chaps are in the mail already . Whats a codpiece:D must be a California thing

LOL... nice banter guys. I always thought a codpiece was to draw everyone's eyes to your crotch region... :D

Beautiful Sheaths!!! So where are all the Kukri in use pics Joe?

I recently picked up one of HI's M43s and this thing is a beast and could sure use one of these great usable leather sheath rigs you've had made up here. Very nice!!!

THAT is hysterically funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't find love in those blades. Joe, you certainly are nuts - it's a darn good ting you've got a Pappy that's willing to cater to you, even if it is with a bit of tough love.

I want that rifle, btw...:D

Thanks Matt. STeven and Paul have a nasty bark but they are real sweet in person

Redsnake

I have been useing a Khukuri around the house cleaqring trails and cleaning up stuff but I never have a camera on me to stop and take the time for a pic. Eventually I will be camping again and with the bow season coming up I will be setting stands and clearing shooting lanes so they will get some use hopefully and some pics resting on a big bow shot deer

Thanks for the info. How do you like the Kuk's in comparison to some of your larger custom blades as far as size, weight, power to cut, ease of carry, etc? I really like the mass of my HI M43... but haven't been able to put it to use yet in cutting or chopping. Not sure I'd want to pack it for very long... as apposed to one of my 10" custom choppers... but I'm sure it will do the job when needed.

Redsnake the beauties of these H.I. pieces is the value for dollar you are getting.

In a pure chopping or big camp knife application these things are hard to beat.

I have some Bowie's that are for me pretty high end and although I carry and use them I still feel bad beating on them hard.

These Kuk's are forged differentially heat treated pieces with alot of character and for hard use blades I am very pleased with them

As for carry I have not toted one for very long needed a better sheath carry setup.

I think paul has done the trick and I will let you know how they work out
