Paul Long Does Some Khukuri Sheaths

Looks neat and beautiful khuk sheath of course
Sound real great since there are few choices to carry it :)
Surely I like it very much :o

Anyhow, I'm just a bit curious about the way you sheathed or unsheathed the khuk, Joe? I mean during unsheathing the khuk how actually you place your left hand at the sheath while the right hand pulling out the khuk? Is it the same way to do while sheathing the khuk back into the sheath?

My asking is because as you already know Joe that the crooked shape of khuk blade might cause injury especially to your left hand during the sheathing and the unsheathing process of the khuk.

mohd.

I have not actually got these in my hand yet but I understand your concern with the knife cutting thru the sheath and cutting your left hand.

Paul does a very heavy and strong sheath and I am sure it will not be a problem as long as care is given in pulling the knife from the sheath

Actually your left hand will be on top of the sheath out of harms way

might as well be you, Joe.

That rig looks like it would be a pleasure to have in the field. Take a "student of history" away from his books, put him out on a trek through the African bush and all he'd care about is the present moment.

Here's an idea. Take my with you next time. I'll carry the Kukri. In the meantime, I gotta come up with a good shoulder rig for this 3lb Freedom Arms!
