Paul Long meets the Sarsquatch

As usual, Pauls work is flawless. :D First time I've seen him use the X loop! Too cool. :)

Very impressive sheath, pics and all.

but

the HUNTS made my soldier stand at attention:eek::D

Incredible "Black Death"! Real nice tops too with alot of seperation

THe Moose is a monster as well.

How did they score??

Is this your profession ; your passion or both?

I am going on my first guided hunt this month . Archery for whitetails in Adams/Pike Co Illinois, and these picks really got me pumped.

I am affraid hunting the farm wont be the same when I get back:(

:D

thanks for sharing. Really nice:cool:

The one near the spine was actually the third. the first was a quartering toward me in the front right shoulder. He spun into the first shot and the second was in the left shoulder. He tried to run and with 2 busted shoulders he collapsed the spine shot you see was from aproaching him from behind when he was trying to get up and there is a matching one on the other side. He collapsed as you see the folded front legs from both shoulders being busted.

NORCALBLACKTAIL I was shooting a 470 Nitro double rifle.

I see...man those are some tough beasts

Great looking sheath:thumbup:

what did you take the moose with? What range... shot placement?
We want to know everything around here:D

KNIFE HUNTER I never scored them the Cape Buffalo was 42 wide with very big bosses and the moose was not that wide his palms went up instead of out but he had good mass and alot of long daggers both where old bulls with alot of character and that is what I look for. As for whitetail good luck remember you can not shot big ones if ya do not pass up small one's on alot of trips I have passed up smaller animals early in the hunt to go home empty handed but alot of times I have connected on great animals in the closeing moments of a hunt and those are the ones that you remember. I grew up hunting whitetails with mostly archery equipment and I always will hunt them. A big buck is imho one of the greatest game animals in the world. I wish I got paid to hunt but alas I put my time and extra money into it and with 4 kids I am glad I started along time ago before prices on some of these hunts skyrocketed. Good luck on your whitetail hunt post pics please shoot a hog that state has got them.

Ken44 I shot him with a custom sheep rifle built by a good friend chambered for 300 WBY mag built on a skeletenized rem 700 with a 180 grain handloadeded Barnes triple shock. 350 yds I will post pics of gun if I can

Thanks everyone you Busse guys are pretty cool.
