Kevin,
Looks very nice!
Does Jerry Fisk ever make sheaths for knives, if not, does he have them made?
Here's my thinking, (just voicing it aloud) a maker imparts part of his soul giving each knife its identity. A sheath has just as much stylistic identity as the knife. Make no mistake, i'm not saying anything negative..
i'm just asking, How would Jerry have done these? ..that would be the only important question. If he is 100% satisfied i would be also. If they do not accurately represent his vision for these knives 100% , it should be made to his ideals. I DO think he is responsible for those kinds of decisions (as the authority, giving these creations a face), just following through. My own personal opinion. A sheath should have a makers stamp, same as the knives. I can imagine another sheath would possibly impart to these knives a different character.. example done in Heiser style, w/ tooling.
And this goes for all knives. A general comment, makers should be involved, start to finish, i think. At least in a creative sense, if not doing the sheath.
And, he may have been.. i do not know.
(Sorry for the ramble.. )
