Another definition of class might involve telling the "old man who has never heard of ebay" that he had grossly under priced the item and then spending a few minutes agreeing on a fair deal for you both.

I got my first Harley a long time ago for $800 from a guy who was going bankrupt. Built from the ground up by another guy I know who runs a local machine shop and builds racing car engines. Sitting under a dirty piece of canvas. Rode it home and washed it off, tuned it up, instant $4k bike (back then).

I see this getting thrown out all the time, but how does one get "screwed" by a pawn shop? Nobody forces you to accept the price they offer for anything. Solely your choice.
Pretty easy to blame someone else when you can't handle your own finances.
note: I have nothing to do with pawn shops, haven't been inside one for over 20 years.
