Pawn Shop belt Grinder

Sorry for posting another "should I buy this" thread. I found a belt grinder at the pawn shop for $50, and was just wondering some thoughts from the pros on whether or not this could handle grinding a blade.

I would suggest saving your money for at 2"x72" grinder.

Kind of an oddball belt dimension. If you can find a reliable source for belts, and they don't cost an arm and a leg, go for it. For $50 you could always use it later on for grinding handles outside. That's what i use my old 2x42 for.

For the money, I don't think you can beat it. You can probably adapt it to 2x72 rather easily.
