pawn shop find

I have a thing for blades, its why I am on this forum like so many others.
That said, my every day carry knives are all Zero Tolerance 0300 line knives, they are with out a doubt, a pain in the ass to sharpen.
the first time I tried to sharpen one on my 2 sided stone, it just cut the stone in grooves, needless to say the metal was much too hard for that stone.
I have 2 diamond steels I use on my carry knives. I ran it across the edge of this axe a while ago, honestly it sharpened RITE UP.
Its not a shaver and not as clean as I want yet before I paint an finish coat it with some clear epoxy or something to keep it nice when done
but I have to say it aint going to take much to make this thing SHARP! It already slices sheets of paper with 5 min of fooling around with it.
forgot to mention this originally, the axe head when I found it had the remains of the handle broke off in it naturally, and you could see some
edge rolls on it where it had been used as hammer now an then, but I hit them with my little dremel and sanding wheel, they cleaned rite up

ok with nothing more than the axe head itself
and the knife in picture the handle has been fitted
and still needs the top trimmed up
going to cut it down and then sand the whole thing top to bottom
repaint that red, we got ahead of it and had to test it and scuffed the paint cutting stuff

well the head is attached and trimmed up now
have sanded the hickory down nice an smooth, pondering perhaps some kind of burn on the wood before I finish coat it
