While browsing through a pawn shop today,I spied a small brown box with a knife wrapped up in papers with a 12 dollar sticker on it. I inquired about it . The girl said it was a Buck. This is it. A cherry BUCK 703 Made in USA.

Nice find! The only pawn shop around here want MSRP+ for everything they sell. I hate haggling over prices, so I tend to stay away from them.

I ought to check out the pawn shops. Theres half a dozen of them all within a 5 minute walk of each other on main street.

If they want MSRP for something thats probably stolen I might just laugh in their faces. Haggling is half the fun of shopping though :P

nice score indeed.... i check the local pawn shop and antique stores on a regular basis...:D

same here in vancouver BC, although i go to one where a friend works, he gives me good deals.

I posted it on the BUCK forum. Heres a reply

"The 703 was the first produced in 1979 of this series. The shield was changed to block lettering in 1984. So, yours is of that first era. These were the upgrade version of the 300 series. With walnut slabs, polished nickle bolsters and springs and 440C blades, this makes an attractive package and interesting to collectors."

I was given that exact knife years ago as a graduation gift. Carried it for years before I finally lost it. Hadn't even thought about it until I saw the picture of the one you got at the pawn shop. Great find.
