  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

pawn shop finds

Last three:

2012 Buck 119 Special. Under $30.I decided I didn't need that long of blade and traded the 119 to the local leathersmith (who has sense died) for a pair of (re-soled and re-heeled) boots he had priced at $110, which I did "need"
(at least I though I needed them ... still think I do, too ...)

"D" 1980 Date Western L66 with sheath, $30 (If I remember correctly, The last time I bought a new L66, I paid about $30 in 1980.
(I seriously doubt the one I found at the pawnshop in Twin Falls, ID, is the same one I bought in 1980, when I lived in San Bernardino, CA.)

"Remington" (note quotes) Canoe with faux Stag/Delrin covers. "Made in USA" tang stamp, no "R" number. $25
I know it is not an old pre-war Remington or PAL/UMC made knife. They didn't produce a canoe pattern knife.
I know it was not made by Bear & Sons. I sent them photos, they replied "Not ours".
I don't know who made it for Remington, or when.
Still a nice knife that sees some pocket time. :)
