Pawn Shop Rescue

Agreed on the upgrade statement , I prefer D2 , I have a few older BMs new in box, doubt this one would interest anyone other than a beginning collector.
I'm replacing the blade more to make a prettier user.
The old blade was a little worse than the pics represented, tip geometry was all fubar'd and it looked like it has been on a grinder at some point

That's a sweet 910!!! Man I wish I could find stuff like that at the local pawn shops!!!

Only knives I find in pawn shops are beat up china made knives and they still want 20 bucks for them.

Ditto, Or they are just SO beat up I don't want to bother with them.

Called BM
They had a few plain blades in D2 left !
It's on the way back to them today

That's awesome Benchmade's D2 is great stuff.

Sweet Find !! Benchmade has the best customer support I have ever dealt with. Maybe they will even send back the original blade if you ask them.

I tried my local pawn shops and stores where I use to find great knifes and tools on clearance. They all told me they quit selling them due to sticky fingers and only had junk, Chinese, knockoffs. The pawn shop had Junker's that had been engraved or some issue that made them worthless to anyone but the original owners.

Is that one you found a liner lock?

Got it back yesterday from BM
Total investment is about $45 including purchase of the knife.
I know its not "original" with the thumb stud, and I prefer Axis lock to liner, but I really like it!
Carried it all day yesterday, will definitely get used.

They do stuff like that. You've turned a nice find into a great EDC knife for not much money. Looks like new screws, maybe replaced the pivot. That blade is interesting. The first version had an opening disk on top of the spine. Your 'new' Stryker has an example of the last transition before the knife was discontinued, and I like the thumbstud on this blade better. Again good find!

I like that it is not serrated as well, cool knife for $45 wish I could find a deal like that our pawn shops only have over priced gerber and buck knives.

I agree with you. It is very nice. I too got some very good knifes from my local pawnshop, named crown pawn shop. I have to say that there would be many more things that I might consider buying in crown pawn shop to save money.

There is no reason to post a link to the shop, and mentioning the name a second time. I don't know if you are involved with the store, but the store you mentioned is NOT a paying dealer here on BF's...

ETA: I didn't notice the member was banned, until after posting, and returning to the post to report it

Agreed, and the mods now have another report posted. It's poor judgement to link to an outside location not an authorized Benchmade dealer, never mind already being banned.

The account was banned because it was spam account. Rycen banned the account but cannot remove or edit posts outside the Exchange so the posts stays as is until a "blue" mod can clean it up.

Thanks Jason. I wondered why the link was still there, after the account was banned

That is a thing of beauty. I love the Strykers. I have one 912 and one 913. I'm thinking i might need to see if i can buy some others.

Agreed. I have: 905, 910, 910SCG, 907, 912 and 913, and while liking that old 910 the 913 is my favorite of the bunch. Allen's designs are and always were amazing knives.

That is really cool. I would have kept that blade just because, the new one looks good too though.
