Let me start by saying I really enjoy this forum and have had the luck and pleasure of meeting some real gentlemen here. This giveaway is continuing the "Pay it Forward" idea started by Rick back in October. I had the good fortune to win a Yeller Case Stockman in the last giveaway hosted by Daniel Dorn and will continue the pay it forward idea by giving away a Ka-Bar BK11 Becker Necker

There are no real rules to this, other than once you receive the knife, you are asked to continue the pay-it-forward by sending on a different knife for someone else to receive.

Your post is your entry, and I'll use a random number generator to pick. If you post more than once, your first post will be your entry number.

I have always had a fascination with nature particularly the things that live in nature. So the only thing I ask is that with your entry post, if you are able include a pic of some animal or critter that you have encountered in your journeys.

I will let this run till May 3, good luck to everyone!

Let's increase the positive energy in the universe!

Now on to the pics....will even include a bird I had the pleasure of meeting this morning :)

Very nice giveaway by you. I'm in.

Here's a pic of a water bird that hangs around a pond at what was formerly Benson's Wild Animal Farm. If you grew up in the New England area, you heard of this place and may have even visited it as a kid. The area is now a park. Some of the buildings are still there and have been restored.

Anyway, thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the opportunity, count me in!

I dont have a picture, but I do have a video if that counts. Still amazes me how stong those snake muscles are.

Here is the often elusive baby gas grill opossum. I encountered him on my travels from the kitchen to the patio. :)

Very cool, thank you for the opportunity!

This is a pic from two summers ago at the lake, we rescued this little guy from the bottom of our Sunfish sailboat. Somehow he managed to get himself in and there was no way he was getting out again. It seemed like the watch (Casio Pathfinder PAG-80t) is built just like him, tough and light but a little marvel...

mr_badexample-- awesome post/picture. :)

At the end of the hike down Mt. Washington (NH), I encountered this young fellow:

He trotted up and down the trail, sometimes coming right towards me, sometimes heading back up towards where my friend was still descending.

Screen capture from a poor-quality video-- here's how close he came:

I feared rabies, but it turns out he'd just made a kill and had left it near the trail when startled by our approach.

Once we were both past him, he quickly retrieved his prey.

Oh!

Evidently, we were all just new at this.

Thanks for the chance!

Thanks for the chance,I'm in...I was fishing at the Outer Banks and had to stop casting while a small pod of dolphins swam right in front of me !! I ran back to the beach to grab my camera and got this shot..Wish my camera was on me at the time because they literally were 15-20 ft away while I was fishing....

and because I believe every thread needs some sort of comedy

here I present to you a pictures of a some wild college engineering students in their natural habitat. Here you see the wild student holding a home made nerfgun made with a sprite bottle, PVC, hose valve, and schader valve. pumped to 100 PSI to shred darts. This is very common in the wild Engineering student, but rarely seen after they get out of the college life cycle.

(I ask that this picture not be used anywhere but this thread )
ps: yes, I was part of this.....the idea came from me, if you want more info (I doubt it, but I will still offer) Just ask lol
