Pay it forward 8 - "THE OCHO"!

Alright I've got 2 of the same knife for the taking. One poorly customized by me, the other is stock. The customized one has 100% lockup but has failed any spine whacks so it's still usable. Both have good 40 degree inclusive convex edges. Not sure how long they'll last as I don't know what steel is used here. What ever it is, it's pretty resistant to corrosion as it took me about 5 hours total to do the double etch. I heat anodized the liners, hardware, clip, thumbstuds, scales, etc. It has a golden look to it.

No circumstances here. Just post that you'll take 1, which one it is and then email me your mailing info. First come first serve unless you're on "the list" from the welcome post of this thread.

If one of these is still available then I would like to try one out. The customized one would be cool if still available.

Just saw this on another thread. The PIF is brannching out beyond the borders of the thread

Hey man, in lieu of the Pay It Forward thread, I'd like to send you my Chive. It's pretty much BNIB, and it's only seen my pocket a handful of times. If you are interested in the same knife, here are some sh*** pictures taken with my phone:

Just shoot me an email at jwattsup@comcast.net.

Nice, there is another similar thread for a manix 2, but great to see we are having a positive influence out there

This came from the thread of the new guy that lost his knife. The generosity of all the members on this website is just amazing. Always giveaways, always helping each other out. Just great, great people here.

Ok so here it is again. I am copying this from the last PIF. Ok folks, I have another PIF, but it's not a knife as I've thinned out the knives that I currently have to ones that I actually use.

I'm offering free Resume preparations and advice to (edit: (2)) forum members. As background, I work for the NY office of one of the largest capital markets and communications advisories in the world. Part of what I do for the Company is recruiting new hires and running the internship program for the NYC office. Outside of this I provide counsel to the CEO's of public listed Companies.

Because of my role as a recruiter for my firm, I look at a few thousand resumes a year. I can take your resume, word smith and then provide any helpful input. I can help explain the resume and what people like me do with resumes and what will and won't make a resume stand out to us. I would like to think that I'm pretty ok at doing this kinda stuff. i.e. Some quick notes about resumes. Remember, resumes quite often are your one and only shot at getting a job interview, if you botch it, you might not get another crack at it. All that counts with resumes are that you get your resume from the big pile of resumes that will go into the garbage and into the little pile of resumes and then off to an in-person interview. So in that spirit, as humble as you are, you have to show off, what you are capable of. That's pretty much the skinny of it.

I just finished up one forum member' resumes and I think I helped another forum member out enough that they are giving their existing resume another go on their own. I am currently working with one other forum member to create their resume over. So I have the capability right now to take on two more resume projects, I can offer advice or do the overhaul. You can go back to the old thread and track down the forum members to see how I did with theirs in case you need empirical proof. Otherwise just get in contact with me and I will be glad to help in any way.

I'd love to give out another knife, but I don't have any more extras so this is what I can do if it helps out a forum member. :)

Wow how thin is the grind at the edge! I love his work and prices!

I tried to capture it but it is thin enough to work. It came very sharp and will still take a couple of hairs here and there.

Getting boxed up now and then in the post it goes!

This resume offer is awesome & I am currently in need of updating mine for a new job opening in Jan. I'm trying to go from corrections to probations so let me get my info gathered & I will email you to see what can be done. Thanks

Ill take whichever one is left, They look awesome

Lobo, no problem.

Benchwarmer, thanks for the photo. After seeing your PIF. I just ended up posting on one of Kelley's threads. His knives just go so insanely fast. Like literally not two minutes after he posts them up. He just put one up and someone took all three in one swoop!

"The Ocho" well named. :D
I peeked in the other threads but they moved so quick it was hard to keep track. Anyways here is a little something that I am sure someone else could use more than I do. It is a pocket fixed blade made by Kelley Ward aka HardEdgeKnives. Big blade for a two finger knife and with the added lanyard you can get your whole hand on it. Well I can.

First person who wants it, it's theirs. So long as you can legally own it. USA only, sorry international folks.
Just say "I'll take it!" and then send me an email or PM with your address.

The Bic is just for scale. Those disappear on their own anyways.

That little bugger is too cool!

Ok i tried, ill take it !!

:D
Good deal, WW!

Wow... that was a lot to read through already!

Okay.. I have a kershaw Oso Sweet that I will offer up to anyone that lives in the United States. Just claim it here then send me an email and its yours. Sorry no pic of her yet.

Id like the Oso if its still available

Hey guys I'd like to offer one engraving service on a knife(or anything metal for that matter) I have my own manual engraving machine. Now I'm no professional but I have had practice with it but please dont choose to send me your 400$ sebenza that you would send a hit man for me if I got a micro scratch on it. So if anyone is interested just post ill take it, what you want it on, where you want it, what you want it to say.shoot me an email after that.

By the way I still have a couple of twenty sided dice from the last thread up for grabs.

Cchu,
I'm graduating from college at the end of next year, so it's about time for me to get my resume back in order. Do you still have room for 1 more?
