Far from it but thank you for the thought. However, I would be remiss if I didn't say...Dang, I missed it. Was planning to putBlues up as the kindest person. I know, first hand, just how much time and real effort goes into being a volunteer mod on a site like this. It's a straight up job. He gives and gives for all of us.
Glad everything made it safely!I forgot to update everyone, package of goodies arrived a few days ago. I just haven't had much opportunity to do anything about photographing or posting about knives. I'm planning to post my own Pay it Forward GAW sometime next week.
This made my day! I'm so glad they where gifted and being used! Thanks for the update!I just wanted to let everyone Know that I haven't forgotten about needing to follow up with my own GAW. I have just been very busy, and I had hoped I could put together a more compelling GAW package, but I am going to be moving forward with a Kershaw Cryo G10 and a commando saw. I'll get that thread up this evening. I just need to take some photos first.
In the meantime, my pay-it-forward gifts have been partly paid forward. After I got batteries for the little flashlight, I gave it to my oldest daughter since she needed a flashlight for her backpack, and as she gets older and more independent, she is more often out and about around sundown, so I appreciate having a nice portable bright flashlight for her. And the Milspin aluminum milled box cutter was a gift to a school teacher friend of mine. He isn't allowed to carry a "knife" but he is allowed to carry a box cutter, so he very much appreciated the opportunity for an edc upgrade. I'm keeping the Boker for now. I'll probably end up giving it away to someone who needs a solid compact fixed blade, but for now, I like it too much to pass it on right away.
