This girl. It's a beautiful knife,I've posted it 3-4 times already so just kinda figured nobody wants the junk I got. I'm just not an sak guy

I don't want to offend you or anything, but that'll never get claimed. They're a free pos that the nra sent out for renewing your membership, I wasn't even expecting anything when I got one in the mail and it only saw daylight once when I first looked at it.
I may end up sharpening mine and putting it in my tackle box to give away to a fellow fisherman who needs a temporary knife.
Why not just sharpen it and put it in a toolbox somewhere as a just in case beater blade?
It's cool that you're at least offering something 👍it just happens to be an undesirable knife .

Yeah, after claiming a few things, I wanted to put something up. It's the best of the knives I don't use.

I do have a trick up my sleeve here shortly though.

We like tricks, as long as they aren't the kind involving claiming a bunch of stuff then ghosting away.

I hear you, I use any of my knives that are worth using and Everything else are just flea market specials that I collect for the novelty factor.
I've got a fairly nice 440c field and stream folder to offer when I can find the box it's packed in , but even that may be unwanted ( I never carried it as its big and bulky and didn't like the velcro sheath )
 
This thread kinda seems to have dissolved into a trading show. I kinda feel like this isn't the intent of what this was supposed to be.

Yeah. Maybe a little. But heck. In Sosa case he is just asking to be polite. And I've not seen anybody request anything. I may be wrong. I have not seen half the pages. Its kind of hard to keep it natural forever. Don't run off too fast. I mean that with love cuz I feel that way sometimes. Its guys like u that keep this forum moving in the rite direction. I feel if I can share things like my work and a membership with some new and existing members . It goes a long way. I will be in the background to share when I can if it continues.

But the more I read these replys. I see it too.

I have given away several knives here to awesome members and have a few still unclaimed. However, it seem as though the past week or so has become a trading barrage of people just putting up stuff just for the sake of claiming a freebie, not what this was supposed to be about. That's just me though.
 
All that said I found one more zt 0550 scale in black last nite. So claim the see through scale and a satin finish scale as well for your zt. Take em both. Pm or email .

They've been out here for awhile, and nobody else has claimed them, so they're yours if you want them. If you don't end up using them, just pass them along.

BTW - Which Gerber? I still have to available.
 
This thread is at 77 pages, 99.9% of which are absolutely wonderful.
This "trading" thing can be viewed many ways. How I see it is that people are interested in certain knives and they are (possibly) asking if anyone would have an issue with their offering prior to claiming said knife.

I know that is not how this thread was intended (if you don't use a knife, offer it up. If something later on in the thread catches your eye, you can ask for it. Not only offer if something catches your eye, or expect to claim something at all.)

Slight difference in view point, but the meaning also slightly changes. It goes from "I don't want/use this, do any of you" to more of a "Hey, that is better than what I use, does anyone want this?"...

As to which is better? My heart lies with the first situation, but I cant fault anyone for offering up something if they see something they like (they are still making an offering).
 
Yeah, I can see some of the swap meet / pass-a-round mentality but I think it may be from fear of looking like a mooch more than greed. It really sprung up after the public policing of newer members and percieved scamming and people joining just for the free stuff so I'm thinking it might just be an ebb and flow type deal.

I think the best reaction is to stick around and try to push the thread back on track.
I like the folks offering up hand made goods and services and I think that with good examples to follow the people new to the thread will get the gist and join in.

Post it if you got it, claim it if you need it and let's all have a good time here.
