OK, so here we go!
After nearly 2600 posts, and so much MORE cool stuff gifted and received that the USPS will stay in business for a LONG time, we have single handedly solve the government shutdown! Well, not quite, but we're on to thread #3!
Here's the loosely written guidelines:
- Open to EVERYONE!
- Please that you give if you get, but nobody will be keeping track, because the honor system and karma were on our side for 1600 posts so far. But this ain't about hoarding. Don't be a jackwad.
- ANYTHING can be given. We've seen all kinds of knives, bikes, bows, hell, I think a Yugo (JK), given, just please make sure you aren't just dumping junk so you don't have to keep it anymore.
- Shipping should be on the giver, but if it's a unique situation, or international shipping, working it out between both parties is fair.
- Have Fun! Pay it Forward! That is what makes this great so far. Let me clarify one thing: Pay it Forward, is about giving more than receiving! If you choose to receive something, great, because you made someone's day letting them share. NOW, if you can, even if you think it is a small token gesture, GIVE! That's the reason this has been so great. Trust me, 'tis truly better to give than receive, especially HERE!
- ONE MORE IMPORTANT RULE ABOUT DA RULEZ - like Fight club, there are no rules, we do not speak of the rules, because there are no rules. Simply put, This has become a free flowing dynamice thread, and 2600 posts worked for a reason. We took a consensus a few times about rules more restricting to prevent jackwads from taking advantage of the good, and we decided good karma even comes from jackwads taking stuff and running, but so does bad karma for said jackwads. Let your conscience be your guide. If your conscience is confused, move on for a bit and just see how happy folks here are. If you want more rules, start another thread. We like it this way here.
I have to dig a bit more into the collection to give more. Look for my future posts to include more stuff. But don't wait for me to start giving!
Thanks to the 'regulars that have made these posts a little community of friends! Come in and join the fun, most of us don't bite.... usually!
