I wasn't able to keep up with what's going on and don't have time to read all the posts but if this is not the right place could someone forward this to the right people. Allen R and I think it was CK your stuff went out this morning and should be to you pretty soon. Hope you all are enjoying the start of the weekend.

Sounds like if people don't want to give they shouldn't be here. If people don't need something they shouldn't claim it. If people want rules and regulations they're missing the point. If a member just gives without seeing who he/she is giving to, and finds out later that they got burned, he/she should grow wiser, not angry. After all, do you hold it against the vulture when it steals from the wolf? That's the nature of the beast. You can only examine the situation and act accordingly. Do not get caught in the tangle of others' worldliness, only deny them when you have been educated. I think that making it a contest was bound to happen, but that's the issue I see. It's being turned into a competition, when the intent was kindness. I don't think that the people doing it realize that what they're doing is unkind, they just see it as good fun, which is both unfortunate and difficult to recognize from that perspective. I recommend similar measure suggested before. Perhaps the games should be elsewhere, for preservation's sake. This isn't a suggestion for a rule, but a guideline. Before you post stipulations, perhaps you should ask if they would cause competition or hard feelings. If so, I think another thread is in order.
Could it be that there is an occasion arising for a giveaway forum? Giveaways have exploded in the forums lately....just an observation.

First..thanks to JimH for keeping this going in it's present form & keeping with the spirit of Pay It Forward.
(Rules? We don't need no stinking rules);)

Okay,or PIF V3,I have a great kit for a novice bushcrafter.
There's a Mora Craftsman 612 with some minor mods,a firesteel, some prime PNW Ponderosa Pine fatwood, some Jute twine & a little ceramic sharpener that works great on the Mora's micro beveled scandi grind.
I sanded the red off the Mora's handle, then scorched it & gave it a couple of coats of clear varnish.
I sanded the top of the spine down where it meets the handle to get rid of the little protrusion that was uncomfy for my thumb & in so doing made a slight thumb ramp as you can see in the pic.^
The blade & ferule were cold blued with a blueing touch up pen & the spine squared up on a belt sander.
There are scratches on the blade from light use,but it sure is sharp.

Come & get it if you want it.

Just wanted to send out thanks to grownstar for the shuffle from the first thread.

Antihero, your package has been shipped.

Johnny1280, I will get your volt ss out asap.

Jimh0220, sorry if my last offering was troublesome with a trivia question involved. Just thought it would be fun and mildly educational. Anyway, myself and most everyone else participating in these threads sure do appreciate your starting of them. This forum and its members are just awesome.

Well, as they say, all good things come to and end, and this is it for me.

Things went the way I prayed they wouldn't, but that's life. I cna't thank all of you who kept the true Pay It Forward spirit alive. It was great seeing so much giving and happiness.

For those who lost the vision: Watch Pay It Forward. A great flick, and you'll get the message.

I hold no ire to anyone here. I've had some special gestures sent my way behind the scenes from a few great people, thought getting was never my idea here. To all of you, thanks. I will treasure those things.

I've also had my faith restored in humanity. With all the crap that goes on in the world, with all the hate, it was refreshing to see that humaity is not all bad still. In fact, there's a place called BladeForums that has some of the most generous giving people I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

Keep it going in your personal lives. It will continue for others as well.

If anyone wants to pick this up and try again, rules, gimmicks, or not, I hope and pray it gives folks the same great feelings I selfishly received.

Peace and Love to all you sick bastards, and God Bless!

Jim
