Pay it forward thread...the remake!

I've been wanting a Caly Jr. for years , I've heard they are some of spydercos best cutters, I have a few more items to give BUT with a baby coming, I can't pay shipping right now guys, So I'll post them up but I can't pay for shipping on the items, I'm glad to give , but I can't spend any cash doing it. Speaking of which whetstone since I said that it's only right I pay for shipping on that Caly jr.

Thank you for offering, but respectfully no, I'll take care of the shipping. I see absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help with shipping costs up front; i did not so shipping is part of the offer. Congratulations on the baby!

I'll have to get back to you on that man. Lionesser and I are working out some details on something similar, but feel free to shoot me a PM to remind me. Lol as I said, I can't afford to buy more to give out but that doesn't exclude others from having access to them, and I know my church would appreciate the income. (I don't think they'd sell many otherwise).

Don't just post "I'll take it" give all of us a reason you deserve it!!! :p I'll let some of the heavy givers help decide who gets it! Be creative with your replies!! Make us laugh....please!!

I lost my EDC Kershaw Blur last weekend and I haven't been able to get a replacement. If it hasn't been claimed yet I'd like to be considered. Either way I'm looking forward to finding out what it is...
 
Oh I know what knife Monofletch is giving away, ( i think) and if it is what I think it is somebodies gonna be very very lucky....
 
I think I know what it is but the suspense is still fun. Just got back from glamping and caught up on the last couple pages. Some great folks on here that's for sure.
 
Alright guys, there has been several paying it forward threads lately. I'm making one a little different. A fellow forum member and I are in a police program teaching us some skills and lessons about becoming officers. We've both noticed that no one besides us really has any taste in knives, in many use blades that, in my experience are like to fail on them, and your blade failing on you when you're using it to defend your life or get someone out of a vehicle can be dangerous or deadly and the others in the program and the officers who run it don't deserve that. The other forum member and I are asking for any unused or unwanted blades you have, preferably SAKs or tactical folders. To spice it up some, if we get 10, we'll give away a Gerber Mini-Paraframe, if we get 20, we'll give away a Micro Recon 1 by Cold Steel, if we get 30, we'll give away a Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight, and if we get 40, we'll give away every item. Give aways will consist of a drawing of everyones name who gave and will take place on November 11th. To give just go to the thread, (Paying It Forward... To Policemen) put your email in a reply to the post and specify what you're giving. Anything you can give is appreciated. Any knives left over from the ones given to the people in the program, will be distributed to the other officers at the station. Thank you and God bless!

I gave my opinion of this in the thread you started. From my perspective, you have not engendered much faith in your intentions of giving. I'll leave it at that.
 
I would be very interested. I haven't taken yet, but I have given. I don't have the ability to make you all laugh, so I won't embarrass anybody by trying. Sending PM.

Re: need a hard use tactical folder....this is my first participation in the PIF blade forums saga

I would very much like an opportunity at the mystery tactical folder. My job in public education virtually demands it! For most of us we are far removed from the brutal realities of the American Middle School. From roving gangs to pesky multiplication tables the threats and need for tactical mindset are paramount. DO NOT get caught using your fingers for counting in math class! And seriously what are you planning on doing about your upcoming showdown with the wind section of the marching band? Given our current national climate I really did sit through a school safety training given by the local pd and FBI. The FBI agent, with scars on his knuckles, told us it would be wise to smash out a second story window in order to create egress for students during an active threat emergency...it's not all holding hands and home room anymore.
Beyond the dire need predicated by my chosen profession I am also an avid outdoorsman who would love to try a true tactical framelock.

Thanks for the chance blade forums...much good about humanity present in these threads.


In the spirit of giving I'm offering up a translucent blue manix 2 lightweight I won in spyderco a calendar contest, it is used hard and got dull cutting carpet but I have the bd1 back to a nice toothy edge and with some more love she will be back to new.

I don't currently have the extra cash to purchase, but if someone would like to purchase them for $1 apiece and then give them out on this thread, I would happily help by shipping them. I had already bought about 20 of them for the little kits I sent out, but that barely made a dent in what's left.
