That's a real beauty Whet! You have some really nice older knives in great condition.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
I'll have to get back to you on that man. Lionesser and I are working out some details on something similar, but feel free to shoot me a PM to remind me. Lol as I said, I can't afford to buy more to give out but that doesn't exclude others from having access to them, and I know my church would appreciate the income. (I don't think they'd sell many otherwise).Hey - I'd be interested in buying a handful of those saks. You think there might be some deluxe tinkers or other models without cork screws (laying off the booze right now). I'd start out by taking 5. And I'll pay forward the ones I don't see myself using.
Great to see somebody got that Old Timer too, that looks like a great knife with some real history
My next item--- It's a mystery!!
I have an new knife. I did sharpen it on my new set up. It does have a few tiny scratches from getting over excited with my new diamond stones, but is new otherwise. AWESOME knife- too big and heavy for my pocket.
All I ask is that you have NOT taken anything from the P.I.F. threads and need a rock solid TACTICAL folder!
Don't just post "I'll take it" give all of us a reason you deserve it!!!I'll let some of the heavy givers help decide who gets it! Be creative with your replies!! Make us laugh....please!!
After it's "awarded" I will post a pic.
The specs:
8 1/4" approx
Frame lock
One G-10 green scale
Stone washed lock side
Pocket clip
Solid over sized pivot
Rock solid lock up
Thumb stud and flipper
Alright guys, there has been several paying it forward threads lately. I'm making one a little different. A fellow forum member and I are in a police program teaching us some skills and lessons about becoming officers. We've both noticed that no one besides us really has any taste in knives, in many use blades that, in my experience are like to fail on them, and your blade failing on you when you're using it to defend your life or get someone out of a vehicle can be dangerous or deadly and the others in the program and the officers who run it don't deserve that. The other forum member and I are asking for any unused or unwanted blades you have, preferably SAKs or tactical folders. To spice it up some, if we get 10, we'll give away a Gerber Mini-Paraframe, if we get 20, we'll give away a Micro Recon 1 by Cold Steel, if we get 30, we'll give away a Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight, and if we get 40, we'll give away every item. Give aways will consist of a drawing of everyones name who gave and will take place on November 11th. To give just go to the thread, (Paying It Forward... To Policemen) put your email in a reply to the post and specify what you're giving. Anything you can give is appreciated. Any knives left over from the ones given to the people in the program, will be distributed to the other officers at the station. Thank you and God bless!
I think I know what it is but the suspense is still fun. Just got back from glamping and caught up on the last couple pages. Some great folks on here that's for sure.

Glamping?! Glam camping? Glock amping? Glue damping?![]()
That cracked me up![]()
Googled it, apparently glamping is "glamorous camping"/Luxurious camping.. interesting
Sweet, glad I could contribute.
By the way there are literally 3-4 boxes of larger SAKs at my local church. I don't currently have the extra cash to purchase, but if someone would like to purchase them for $1 apiece and then give them out on this thread, I would happily help by shipping them. I had already bought about 20 of them for the little kits I sent out, but that barely made a dent in what's left.
