Hi guys,
If I received funds through G&S do I refund through that service? What is the etiquette?
Thanks
Billy

I've never had to do a refund, but there should be a way to just reverse the original transaction to where neither person is out any money on fees. I'm not sure if that can only be done in the first 60 days though. Try going to the resolution center, dispute a transaction, and then it pulls up some other options where I think you can refund. Hope that helps, if not I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along and give you some better advice.

Need more details. But, follow the instructions on Paypal of you are doing a refund, there is a button for that specifically on Paypal. They also have some instructions on their FAQ section.

When you go to the Transaction Detail page in your PP account, you should be able to see a "issue a refund" link in blue with a Question Mark icon next to it, about 1/2 way down that page. You can click onto that link and issue a refund. This applies to both G&S plus F&F.

If you're the seller and wanting to issue a partial refund, using PayPal's refund option is the only way you'll get your PP fees back on the partial refund. Also, hypothetically, what if the buyer is a jerk and says you never refunded them? Using the actual refund process ensures it shows up against the original transaction so there's no questions.

I'll just confirm-You go to account summary, click on the buyers name, go to refunds, enter what you want refunded and submit. I think that is all. They will get back your money + the PP fees on your money and there will not be an additional charge to you. If you just send them the money-there will be new fees on that money and the original fees on that amount won't be returned. So use the refund system. Plus as noted earlier it makes a clear indication of a refund to PP if any further dispute comes up latter.
