Has anyone here ever gotten an email telling you that you are getting near your spending limit and that you need to get verified? Wondering if this is legit or something else?

I believe that there is a limit you can spend without verifying your bank account. I am not sure of the exact amount...but you can go on your paypal account and link your checking account. This should verify almost immediately and if not maybe talk to your bank. This was my experience but I am not sure if you have the same issue.

What A C said, Neverclick on any link you get through e-mail no matter what it says. Always go to your account.

They first want your checking account info, then the next one is getting your cc# then if you want a paypal visa they want your ss#.

Log into your account directly from your web browser, any legitimate alerts or messages will be found there. As the others have said, never implicitly trust emails claiming to be from PayPal and never open links contained therein, there are scam emails that claim to be from PayPal.

Phishing is rampant on the internet. The best policy is to just go directly to whatever account the email says it is about ( do not click their link).

I am locking this thread, as it is not knife making related, and should have been posted in the general discussion forum.
