First I need to get all the mumbo jumbo out of the way
-All knives are sold "as is" when you buy the knife, you buy the knife
-I will be 100% honest in my appraisal of the knives
-I choose to do business with whomever I choose, as do you
-The first I'll take followed by a pm gets first grabs
-Paypal only please
-Continental US only, please
I've been reading posts the last couple days that have gotten me into a funk about the knife industry in general. Knifemakers welching on deals; knife buyers feeling left in the dark. It honestly blows me away. I don't know if you guys (and gals) have noticed, but I like to give people a good deal. I'm a schmuck, I know. But I'm a very blessed and lucky schmuck. Just this morning Gilles over at Fontenille Pataud gave me an unbelievable deal on a wooly mammoth laguiole knife. I felt inspired. I would like to take my good fortune and spread it around.
I would like to offer a couple knives that...yadda yadda yadda..let's get on with it.
Ok, So I have a Chris Reeve one piece knife. I think it's a shadow IV, I'm not sure. It's about 8 inches long with a 4 and 1/2 inch blade with a saber grind. And it's A-2 steel. That's all I know. This knife is old. I bought it a long time ago. I thought that the original sheath that came with it sucked, so I threw it in the garbage and bought this pancake sheath. I like it. It rides high on the hip. I've sliced paper and grapes with it. I ran it across my sharpmaker. By the way, is there anyone out there who can actually tell if a knife has been sharpened if it has only been on a sharpmaker? I haven't met that person. It's a pretty solid knife for a user. For the collector, you're kind of SOL because I don't have the box or paperwork. These knives have sold. Thank you. But wait...there's more! If you buy this knife I will throw in a Chris Reeve Professional Soldier. It is also an older knife as well. So the one thing I can guarantee is that this knife is made from S30V. I took the lanyard off as I do with all my knives, so right now it is in "unprofessional mode". To the "novice" this is a nice bundle. If you're one of those freaks with a jeweler's loupe, you need not apply.
Next I have a Carter Cutlery neck knife. It is made in Hitachi white steel laminated with a softer outer core. The scales are ironwood. The tang is tapered. It is as new as the day I bought it straight from Murray. You can have it for $300. What you see is what you get.
