PayPal common practice

Hey bladeforums users .
Just a few questions for the community in regards sales.
So recently I made my first sale on here then another I'm just wondering what the protocols are when it comes to payments .
I got the first payment no problems .
Second one says payment with held .
The buyer says paypal are telling him not release the funds until he gets said knife I have never heard of this or had the issue when buying knives myself .
To be honest I would expect to be paid before I even sent the knife sure anyone could say they didn't get it or whatever .
Just wondering because I have little experience with this

Thanks for that was just insure there was a bit of confusion on both parts but we got it sorted thanks for your reply .

You need to call and speak to PayPal. It’s quite normal for this to happen especially if you haven’t taken payments in a while or have limited history.

It's all sorted now thanks I had spoken to PayPal and so had the other party they had given conflicting advice lol .we sorted it amongst ourselves .

Additionally, get familiar with the numerous PayPal threads in this sub-forum on the dos' and donts' while sending and accepting payments. And read through PayPal's ToS (terms of service). Good luck!
