Lately, I've been seeing more and more newer member's here (a few brand new) with zero feedback), listing their wares for sale, requesting PPFF as their only funding source. One sales thread was for a $1500.00 Rockstead and a couple of others were Customs North of 2k. What could possibly go wrong!?

And then you have this ongoing PP F&F SNAFU sales thread, which has the potential of being yet another, "never use the F&F option when purchasing goods," no brainer, classic (Read the OP/posts 35 & 39):

Not saying that the member here in question (linked above), is lying.....but how many countless times have we seen this exact same M.O. (blame everyone and everything else & use every possible excuse in the book) play out here over the years (when PP F&F was involved) and how many member's have we seen get burned over and over again because of it?!

Personally, as a buyer, I refuse to do business with any member's here, who display dishonest business ethics (using a company's service for their benefit & not paying for that service in return).....And then has the audacity to use the B.S. 1099 new tax laws cop out excuse as their pathetic defense. PP F&F seller's have sure saved me a lot of money though....so there's that anyway.

Life after PayPal:
I deactivated my PP account (Politics unfortunately isn't allowed to be discussed here in GBU to make a point) back when PP unilaterally changed/flip-flopped on their policy/service agreement terms. Since then, I've managed to successfully complete quite a few transactions; 3 of which were via personal checks by mail transactions with 3 super awesome/trustworthy member's here, 2 face to face cash in hand local transactions, and the rest were via Zelle through my Bank. Zelle, still has the potential protection risk factor involved, regardless, at least it's on the up and up & I'm not fraudulently using anyone's services in doing so.

I guesstimate that I've used PayPal well over 2000 times over a 17 year history with them; on various knife and gun forums as well as with eBay. PayPal was always very professional and they (their Customer Service) always took excellent care of me in the half dozen or so disputes I had to file with them over that time. They stepped in and saved me $1100 on my 1 and only BF FUBAR nightmare (which was a DA automatic custom). Other than a handful of times, I always used G&S when buying and selling over that span, which was a key factor why, PP always treated me so well.
