Go to their site and get the contact us phone number and call, perhaps they will have mercy on you, but don't count on it. If they don't use another email address and another bank account # even if you have to change banks.

PS: just wondering you lucky playing lotto?

I just opened a separate bank account tied to Pay-Pal where I only put the purchase amount as I buy something. I can transfer into that account instantly and I'm good to go.

Eventually you want two PP accts.

One that will take CC's; and you'll be charged 3-4% to receive payments no matter how the buyer pays.

Then also open one standard acct for cash payments from buyers.

If the buyer can pay by bank transfer then you have them pay to the standard acct. If they want to use a CC then have them pay to the other acct.

This way the buyer can decide if they want to pay fees or not. And when they ask you to pay the fees just tell them "it isn’t me that wants to use a CC.":D

.

I always use a credit card with paypal.
Never EVER out of my bank!!!

Steelnut is right on!

If someone breaks in to your acount you dont want them to get everything.

I suggest using a seperate bank entirely for paypal account from your main bank. just transfer money from main bank to paypal bank for extra security.

That way your covered and bank is looking out for you:thumbup:

Eventually you will want zero accounts because they can be a big pain in the ass.

Credit has an extra layer of protection, if you get charged through your bank account that money is essentially gone, credit is actually someone elses money, so if you're careful and contact the credit company you can usually fix the damage before you lose your own.

Now that isn't always a 100% thing, since I've heard some bank issued credit cards often have "overdraft protection" which will dig into your bank account if you go over your credit limit. Sounds counterproductive to me but it's what I've heard.

If you only use credit and someone rips you off, you can contest it with your credit card company, but when paypal goes looking for someone to bill, they will be looking at you.

I'm not sure but I think they can mess up your credit also.

Paypal automatically pulls what you need from the CC when you send someone a payment.

I used a credit card for over a year and then paypal told me that I had reached the maximum number of transactions for that creditcard. I could add a differant one if I wanted or just add a bank account. It seems insane but honestly thats what they did.

That sounds crazy Kelly!

I just checked and I have 62 transactions from my CC in the last 12 months. I wonder if I should be worried about that now..

That happened to me too. They very very much want to be tied to a bank account. I think it is so they can pull money from the account at no charge to them (as opposed to being charged by the credit card company).

If they get past my Pay-Pal account they will just have to pay my overdraft!!

I thought Blood_Grooves is ... what, 14? How do you have a CC and bank account to link to paypal? Ask your parents to help you, please!
