I started out with a Palm 130 about 3 years ago. But it started flaking out on me, so it was time to move to the next level. I ended up getting a Sony ux-50 and I couldn't be happier. It has a camera that take pix and short videos, WiFi, bluetooth, MP3 player a lots more. But it got me wondering what PDA's BF members have and if they are happy with them.

My current PDA is a Dell Axim X5. I have had no problems with it in the year+ that I have used it. I like the Palm platforms as well (had 2), but there is some software I need for work that only runs on Pocket PC.

I use a Moleskine notebook. I had used a Palm-based PDA for a while then realized that I needed one that didn't run on batteries. :D

I got a older model sony Clie'. I have had it a while, and because I got armor for it, it still works perfecto. It has a very nice color screen, and I hooked it up with a buncha goodies: electronic books of the Hitchikers Guide (I believe its inteded format) refferences on plants and animals, a cool astronomy program that maps the star locations and has a night mode where its all red light, First aide reference...yadda yadda. I crushed 2 handsprings just havin em in my pockets so the armor was essential for me.

Now I dont use it much for keeping organized and for records. I have my cellphone for that, which also is a PDA of sorts, a smartphone. It runs on slimmed down version of the windows for pocket PC. I like that it plays movies and MP3s, I just set it on the treadmill and put headfones in and watch my commercial free simpsons episodes digitized from the dvds. I can't remember the model name but its a motorola, and doesnt look like a pda...definatly a phone. Best thing is it was free....I wheeled and dealed a 400 dollar pricetag to 100 with a full rebate...too many other people with free phones, I wanted one too.

I carry a Palm T3 every day. I don't think I could live without it. I started out with a PalmPilot Professional, then used an HP Jordana. Then back to Palm with a Tungsten, and now a T3. It is GREAT.

I carry a Palmone (formerly Handspring) Treo 600. It's a smartphone/PDA and I carry it everyday. I can check my email, listen to streaming music, play mp3s, games take pictures and video... I love it.

I have palm T-3 and love it. The screen is fantastic. I started with palm III, then moved to Vx, then a 505, the a tungsten and now the T-3. I hate to leave the house without my palm.

Ipaq 2215. Couldnt live without it. Atleast for work that is. It handles my schedule and just about everything else I need at work.

Pocket PC all the way. Now is a Toshiba e805. Before that was a Ipaq 5455. And a NEC Mobilepro 880, Casio E-125, Casio EM-500, NEC MobilePro 800, and a Casio E-100.

Before those I have the Palm Vx, Palm V, Palm III, Palm, and a Apple Newton.....

I bought a lightly used iPaq 3970 with an expansion pack (basically a small hard drive, more storage space) for less than $250. Added a GPS antenna and Mapopolis software and I'm very happy with it--it's a pocket sized travel companion.

If I was to buy again I'd definitely stick with PocketPC, and take a hard look at the Axim and 2200 series iPaqs, this time with an eye towards 802.11 abilities as well as a way to run a GPS compact flash or something with it.

I have an issued Dell. Best thing that came out of the racial profiling BS. They were issued to log traffic stops.

I carry a PAlm Tungsten T and mostly love it. It's lots faster than my first PDA, a Sony Clie 710. I do all sorts of stuff with it from personal organization and shopping lists to video games like Bejeweled and Galaxian. I also like to sync it through Avantgo for lunchtime reading material when I'm on the road (traveling sales rep), listening to MP3s on airplane rides and running a Filemaker Pro database for work.

You guys with the T3s are killing me. My boss has one, but only because his Clie lasted four months longer than mine did or he'd have a plain old T too like I do. I love the T3's larger screen, virtual graffiti area and extra horsepower. He's got a really cool GPS/mapping system that runs in real time on it. It's pretty cool considering how compact it is.

I rock a Tungsten E... The cheap one ;) I use it for Mp3's, my compulsive list makin' (Handy Shopper), a photo album(the first ever in my life), calendar/ scheduling, adresses, etc. I got a cool Star Trek game for it and some PSG sniper game. One thing I always wondered is what the screensaver is for  I'm relatively new to PDAs and suspect I don't use it to it's full potential. I have a first aid guide and Army Field Manual on it. Lookin' for plant/animal guides if anyone has any Reccomendations :)

I've got the Zire 71. This is my first palm and I love it. I'm still not using it to it's full potential though. I have a map program, but want GPS! And the camera is cool, allows me to take shots of things I would have otherwise missed...or, as my wife has found out, things I want! :D

Ipaq 5450 - mainly used for Solitaire (Wife) and Surfing BF.C. (When upstairs and too lazy to surf at the main computer)

I have an iPaq 3955 with the sleeve, CF slot, and extra battery. For two years, it has pretty much been my "secondary brain" without which I would be lost!

I occasionally get "New PDA Envy," but this sucker has been dang-near bulletproof up till now (knock on wood).

When the next wave of VGA resolution PDAs comes out, I may have to take another look...

Sony Clie TH55... Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Gorgeous screen. Nary a problem.

Palm T3 paired with a company issued Motorola V600. The Bluetooth connection equals customer and tech support on the fly. ;) My wife still uses a Clie NX70, although since I got her a V600 she has had her eye on my T3….
