Never mind all that, what about the granddad joke!!I’ll try and answer some questions, mostly carried in my coin pocket of jeans, also loose in pocket, no particular care out of ordinary, wash with dish soap and water, a bit of rubbing alcohol to clear water out of joints, mineral oil. Sharpened on everything from a my Arkansas stone I’ve had since 8 years old, a pocket diamond stone, mug whatever really. Stropped on a belt or a scrape piece of suede nothing fancy. There is a loss of steel on both blades when compared to a newer peanut but I’ve tried to keep the blade shaped integrity. It has a crack on the mark side happened 2 or 3 years ago I’ve done nothing no glue etc. blades are still tight zero play hope I didn’t just jinx myself. The shield literally fell out yesterday for the first time I popped it in to dry fit before I glued and I cannot get it out so it’s pressure fitted right now, I really need to get it out so I can properly secure it. It’s not something I could replace it’s rounded to the scales.
Yeah! Thats the dirt I love! The real nitty gritty of knife ownership. Great story, sounds like shes realy held up to the beating and looks better for it. Keep wailing on it and lets see it in 2032!You went deep for that one haha,
If only a Peanut
If only a Peanut was in your pocket along with some other basics could you sustain yourself? Scenario: Your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, no phone or no service, you are on a solo hike, canoe or kayak trip and lose everything except whats in your pockets or attached to you, a trip...www.bladeforums.com
I had a hard time tracking down older pictures found these from summer 2012
