Peanut's

Gary, word is that if you wait until 2009, you can get a Case Stag Peanut in 1095 damascus, instead of the currently offered Case Stag in damascus made of 1075 and nickel.

I searched for the link here, but search is not currently working for me.

Robb,

You may be referring to this info regarding the constituents of Case's damascus that I posted some months back:

Devin and I will be upgrading our carbon steel for 2009 to 19C5va. It is a carbon steel made specifically for cutlery, it has vanadium in it which will be a better blade steel. Thanks, Rob Thomas

The info comes from an email sent to me by Rob Thomas concerning current and future damascus steel they will provide to Case.

Blues, that's the post I remembered. I couldn't find it with the search function this morning, though, for some reason it referred me to an empty page. Thanks for posting the original reference.

What is 19C5va? Is that what Case calls "CV"? I think the first time I read over that my mind read "1095", not "19C5va".

Thanks for that info, I am checking a couple things right now,

A couple of my favorites.

My all time favorite. Although, I do believe it is a Peanittler instead of a peanut.

Nice Kerry, that '73 has a few character marks, looks like
a handy knife to have around the pocket.

Well, I picked up one of those stag scaled, damascus bladed peanuts but find it
just a tad too small for my tastes, I think I'll order one of the sway backs instead
I know, a whole different breed :)

Guess I'm more a cashew kinda guy ;)
thanks for the images guys!
