Good day everyone.

I was just curious as to how Knife Enthusiast like Pearl handled knives? Do we perceive them as elegant or fancy? My take is they are really nice but I have seen real pearl handled knives not look so good. I think it may be in the actual color of the pearl.

I have knives in Mother of Pear, Abalone, Gold Lip and Black Lip. I really like them, and I think of them more as a dress type of knife. I'll take some pics later if time permits.

MOP is one of my favorite materials. Here a few both customs and vintage

As always, beautiful knives, Charles!

MOP is also one of my favorite materials on the right knife. It takes more than a fancy handle material to make an elegant knife. I find it best left to the vintage Sheffield and American patterns or within the custom realm.

Great looking knives.

I guess my favorites are abalone and black lip pearl.

But I tend to stay away from these handles in general because they're
not terribly durable. Scratches and general wear are common,
and they're not easily repaired.

Very nice MOP Knives! I also have a few but im a horrible photographer, lol ill try and give it a shot though. I have a Case 65-69 pen with a bail that I really like. its never been used and the Pearl handles are very nice.

Thanks everyone for their replies.
