Pearl handled Knives

Personally I really like the look of pearl handles. I only have a couple of old one, but hope to add more.

You folks are showing some nice stuff. I've been partial to pearl for a long time and I'm glad to see others appreciate MOP. Here are a few more from my collection.

Phenomenal MOP's!
I especially like those vintage slippies. Something about that smooth pearl and otherwise worn contrast.

Mike Alsdorf has built me some really nice ones in MOP. I don't know if he's still making knives though.

This thread always makes me feel inadequate when I post something here. :o Marvelous knives, everyone!

An old Bulldog trapper with some nice MOP. I carry this one frequently.

Looks like a big peanut! Love that acorn shield, too!

That's definitively the most beautiful Remington I've ever seen.

Here is my rogers gunstock in MOP that John photo'd for me.

Simply outstanding.

Had this for a little while, but it never seemed exceptional enough to post. However, I took some photos of it for another thread and I figured I'd share a few in the thread designed for it.

The blade's seen better days, but it's holding a surprisingly sharp edge, the years having essentially mated the grind and secondary bevel into a single cutting plane. The pearl's mostly intact, and I really love the subtle but strong "waves" on both sides. I rarely have occasion to carry any sort of pipe paraphrenelia, given my status as "ex-smoker", but it did find its way into my pocket the other day and performed ably in the stead of other "more favored" knives. Even found a few alternative uses for the fixed tamper.

(I have no idea who J.H.C. is or why 7 April 1949 was worth commemorating in knife form, but I like the way this little bugger looks so I think I may start taking advantage of America's kooky date notation and telling people the knife belonged to Jesus H. Christ who really was American and celebrated July 4th. :D)

Beautiful knives in this thread.

Another Alsdorf. I had a tough time convincing Mike to make this equal end with a spear rather than his normal clip. I know it was the first he made with the spear and a good chance it was the only one?
